Automatic Mains Failure(AMF) or Automatic Transfer Switch(ATS)

Many businesses rely on steady power supply. When the normal supply fails, either an alternate mains supply or a standby generator can be used, which requires a switching system hence the need for a changeover switching system. This is for automatic starting and stopping of generators. Two contactors or circuit breakers of appropriate ratings are interlocked and controlled sequentially with timers and relays to achieve automatic power transfer from National grid to generator or vice versa.
